| Ayesha Amjad was born in Karachi in 1978. She has been drawing and painting from a very young age, but was unable to pursue art at college due to pressure to study something more ‘practical’. Despite this she continued to draw and paint and a few years after she graduated from college she moved to London to further develop her skills. She enrolled in art classes and experimented with different media such as oil, acrylic, water colours, charcoal and pencil, as well as photography and graphic design. She especially focused on figurative drawing and painting. Ayesha takes her inspiration from personal experiences and interests and everyday life.
