About Us

Reedah El-Saie, Founder and Director of Mica, graduated in Law from The London School of Economics and read an LLM at University College London before qualifying as a barrister.  She worked as a management consultant for Roland Berger & Partner before her first entrepreneurial venture, ‘ArRum’, which successfully launched in 2001 and was widely reported in the press; BBC, CNN, Vogue, Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, The Independent, The Guardian, The Evening Standard and others.

She completed a Foundation in Art at Chelsea College and a Diploma in Islamic Art at VITA before founding Mica Gallery in 2007, the UK's first gallery specialising in Modern Islamic & Contemporary Art promoting emerging and mid career artists. The business has expanded into a 1500 sq. ft gallery space in the heart of Knightsbridge and Chelsea with a team of 4 full time staff and an impressive client list including royal families, corporate clients, private collectors, interior designers and international hotels. Reedah also founded Mica Creative CIC, www.MicaCreative.org, a social enterprise dedicated to delivering creative outreach projects in the local and international community, hosting workshops in some of the most deprived regions in the UK.

In 2011, Reedah launched Mica Home and is currently designing a contemporary Islamic furnishings range.
